It’s an interesting comparison of first-time buyer’s current options, and features one of our prospective Owner Partners, Lyndsey Roberts.

 

The article compares shared home ownership, The Joint Equity Scheme, so called ‘share to buy’ mortgages and the rising ‘buy with a stranger’ phenomenon.

 

Lyndsey is clear about her preferred option:

 

"It will still be hard to find this [a property of £150,000] in London but I'd prefer to use Joint Equity, rather than buy with a friend, as I'd feel more secure in the sense that it's a business arrangement."
